Who we are
Studying abroad isn't one decision. It's forty small ones — and getting any of them wrong costs a year.
DES EDU was founded in Chennai by Dinakar, Elvis and Sanjay — three people who went through the process themselves and decided families here deserved better than guesswork. We sit on your side of the table for every one of those forty decisions.
How we do it
One counsellor owns your file from first call to first semester. No handoffs, no call-centre, no being passed around.
Why we do it
Because a student's future shouldn't depend on which agent's office they happened to walk into first.
Our approach
One size
fits none.
A rank-holder from a CBSE school and a mid-scorer from a state board need completely different strategies. We build the plan around the student in front of us — never around whichever university pays the highest commission.
What we help with
Everything between "maybe" and "I'm in."
Career counselling
Aptitude assessment, course-fit analysis and an honest conversation about what you're actually suited to.
University selection
A shortlist built on your profile and budget — ambitious, realistic and safe options, with the reasoning shown.
Application & SOP
Statement of purpose, essays, LORs and document assembly — coached, reviewed and quality-checked before submission.
Test preparation
IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, GRE and GMAT coaching with diagnostic tests and a target score plan.
Visa guidance
Financial documentation, form filing and mock interviews — the stage where most rejections are avoidable.
Loans & scholarships
Education loan facilitation, scholarship mapping and a realistic year-by-year cost breakdown for the family.
The counselling roadmap
Five stages, no surprises.
Stage 01
Self discovery
We map your academic record, interests and long-term aspirations before a single university is named.
Stage 02
Options exploration
Courses, countries, intakes and total cost of study — laid out side by side so the family can compare properly.
Stage 03
Preparation for success
Test coaching, profile-building activities and a submission timeline working backwards from your intake.
Stage 04
Application shaping
Your SOP, essays and recommendations rewritten until they say something true and specific about you.
Stage 05
Final checks
A line-by-line audit of every document before it goes out, then visa filing and pre-departure briefing.
