Our story

It started with a journey that changed our lives.

Today we walk that same road with students all over India — so they arrive somewhere better than where they started, and better than they thought possible.

We were the students who had to figure it out alone.

DES EDU was founded in Chennai by Dinakar, Elvis and Sanjay — three people who went abroad to study and came back struck by the same thing: almost everything that went right for them had been luck, and almost everything that went wrong had been avoidable.

The consultancy market they came home to was built around commissions. Students were steered toward whichever university paid best that quarter. Families signed contracts they did not understand. Applications were copy-pasted. Rejections were blamed on the student.

So we built the opposite. One counsellor per student, from the first call to the first semester. Advice that stays the same whether or not a university is paying us. And a straight answer, early, even when the straight answer isnot yet or not there.

What we believe

Three rules we do not break.

The student decides

We lay out every option with its real cost, real odds and real trade-offs. Then we step back. It is your life, not our target sheet.

Bad news travels fast

If your profile will not clear a university, you hear it in week one — not after you have paid the application fee and lost the intake.

Families are part of it

Parents are funding this and worrying about it. They sit in every major conversation, and they get the numbers in writing.

The people

Who you will actually be talking to.
